About the department

Central to the success of the º£½ÇÉçÇø are its staff and through ensuring that every staff member is valued for their individual contribution, we believe that we can create the right environment where each individual can flourish.

We contribute across all areas of the º£½ÇÉçÇø's activity and work in partnership with colleagues to support them in their own work areas.

The department prides itself in working to high professional standards. It is organised on a business partnership model with aligned teams working with dedicated business units, with specialists providing dedicated support in functional and thematic areas.

Human Resources delivers a comprehensive HR service to around 8,000 staff.

Teams

We are organised into the following teams:

• HR and Recruitment Services - includes recruitment and induction, immigration and overseas working, Good Work Plan and IR35, HR systems and data and strategic projects.
• Business Partnering and Employee Relations - provides support on a wide range of strategic and operational employment issues to all staff and managers across the º£½ÇÉçÇø.
  • The section is organised into faculty facing teams, each led by a faculty HR manager, responsible for their HR advisers.
• Organisational Development - includes equality and diversity, staff development, leadership and management development, and workplace health and wellbeing.
• Business Support Team - provides a full range of administrative support across the HR function and diary management to members of the HR Executive Team.
