Fiona Scott appointed as official adviser for edtech

Dr Fiona Scott has been appointed as an official adviser for the Department for Education’s edtech evidence board project. The team of 17 advisers will look at how to build evidence around artificial intelligence tools in schools.

The education secretary, Bridget Phillipson, announced last month that the Chartered College of Teaching will deliver a pilot scheme of the board, which will look at how the sector can build evidence of which artificial intelligence products work.
 
The panel of adviers will review the criteria that will be used to assess edtech products, evaluate evidence and appoint members.
