Profile

After completing my BSc in Psychology at the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Nottingham, and an MSc in Translational Neuropathology at the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Sheffield, I worked in a variety of widening participation roles, including for the Higher Education Progression Partnership at Sheffield Hallam, and delivering careers workshops for science communication company Medical Mavericks.

I soon decided I wanted to work more directly with students and began a two year part-time PGCE with the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Derby. During this time, I taught on a variety of pathways within both FE and HE, with most of my time spent teaching Access to HE students at Chesterfield college. This led me to then join the DLL as a º£½ÇÉçÇø Tutor on Introduction to Psychology in 2022.

Research interests

I have a MSc in Translational Neuropathology from the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Sheffield. My research project focused on the influence of the systemic immune response on astrocytes, a support cell in the central nervous system.

Teaching interests

I am a module tutor for Introduction to Psychology, as well as teaching on Academic Literacy and Communication Skills (ALCS).
