My research journey began in the area of microwave semiconductor oscillators before moving into the then new area of charge coupled device applications. After a period at Essex º£½ÇÉçÇø where my interest was active sound cancellation, I returned to Sheffield and began working on impedance imaging systems, novel fluorescent light drives, ER fluids and APD instrumentation.
