Stephen came to Sheffield in February 2000. He has also taught at the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Manchester, Hampshire College, London School of Economics, and the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Hull. Stephen's main research interests are in the philosophy of mind, philosophy of psychology, and cognitive science. Some of the issues that interest him in these areas are: the nature of concepts, the nativism/empiricism debate, and philosophical methodology.
