Ioanna is currently an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Music. She has studied Music (BMus with integrated Master’s) in the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Athens, and she holds MA and PhD degrees in Psychology of Music from the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Sheffield, under the supervision of Prof Renee Timmers, that have explored the conditioning relationship between everyday music listening and Involuntary Musical Imagery (INMI).
Her most recent projects include a postdoctoral fellowship in Mapping Music for Wellbeing in Sheffield Project, working with Dr Nicola Pennill and Prof Renee Timmers, and a postdoctoral fellowship for the ‘Hacking the live earworm’ project, working with Dr Michelle Phillips at the Royal Northern College of Music, in Manchester.
She plays the piano, and she is a member of Music Mind Machine, Sheffield.
