I’m Izzy, one of the Student Recruitment Interns. I joined the team after graduating with an BA (Hons) in Politics and International Relations from the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Sheffield in summer 2024. After being a Student Ambassador and Student Mentor at university, I am grateful to continue working here as a graduate, continuing to encourage higher education and represent the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Sheffield.

I have greatly enjoyed my time as a Student Ambassador where I worked on the º£½ÇÉçÇø open days, represented the º£½ÇÉçÇø at higher education fairs and even took part in a photoshoot for the º£½ÇÉçÇø’s city guide which I am now featured in! As a Student Mentor, I worked with sixth form students from lower socio-economic backgrounds to help them pursue their aims of attending university. Within this role I supported my mentees to choose the right course and universities for their UCAS applications as well as providing invaluable personal statement guidance.

In my spare time, I enjoy dancing (ballet, tap, modern, commercial, contemporary and hip-hop). I have danced since the age of four and competed at regional and national competitions. At university, I joined the Dance Society and have been a dance teacher, competition team choreographer, and committee member as the Competition Secretary. Expanding my knowledge and experience of clubs and societies at the º£½ÇÉçÇø aids my current role as a Student Recruitment Intern, showcasing Sheffield’s amazing student life.
