The Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures and The Department of Politics and International Relations present:

COP29: The state of climate negotiations in an age of polycrisis

A live in-person event where we will discuss the ongoing negotiations in Baku, the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Sheffield’s involvement in this and previous COPs, and the potential impact for our region, country and the world.

Is the COP process fundamentally broken? Is there a viable alternative? How do we balance observation and criticism with support and legitimisation? 

There will be a mix of short presentations and a round table discussion.
