David Swinn
As Interim º£½ÇÉçÇø Secretary, David works to ensure the highest standards of governance in liaison with the Chair of Council, President and Vice-Chancellor, º£½ÇÉçÇø Executive Board members and Professional Services Directors.
David joined the º£½ÇÉçÇø in 2010, working in Research Services before joining the Governance team as a Senior Governance Officer in 2012 and becoming Head of Governance in 2018. He is a Chartered Secretary as an Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute.
Prior to working in Higher Education, David qualified as a solicitor in Sheffield and also worked as a court clerk for the Ministry of Justice.
David graduated with an LLB in Law with French Law and Language from the º£½ÇÉçÇø of Leicester and a Diploma of Legal Studies from Robert Schumann º£½ÇÉçÇø in Strasbourg, before completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law.
